William Hurt Joins Damages FX Series

William Hurt is joining FX’s drama series “Damages,”,for its second season.The show will return to the network,early next year.The production for this new season will begin in New York,on June 24.Hurt will play a new client of Patty Hewes (Glenn Close).The character might even share something personal with Patty.Nick Grad, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, FX Networks,had this to say about this new announcement:

“We believe ‘Damages’ has one of the finest ensemble casts anywhere on television and the fact that an actor the caliber of William Hurt has joined the cast speaks to the quality of series.” “It will be great watching him and Glenn Close work together again.”

The Creators/Executive Producers of the series,Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman,added:

“We are thrilled and honored to have William join Glenn Close on our ‘Damages’ dream team. The fuse is lit, and with these two actors going head to head, the fireworks are sure to fly.”

This is the first time that William Hurt will take a role as a series regular.
