Big Love: Big Spoilers for Season 3
Big Love’s third season will return on HBO this fall.Meanwhile,for the fans who just can not wait here are some spoilers for the upcoming season to ease the pain.There is a big possibility there will will a fourth wife added to the series.Here is a brief recap:
Towards the end of the second season of Big Love, the writers toyed with the possibility of a “fourth wife candidate” for polygamist Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton), as if dealing with his current three wives, Barb (legal wife/first wife), Nicki (second wife) and Margene (third wife), wasn’t enough.
Warning: Spoilers ahead because here is what will take place in Season 3:
Ana (Branka Katic), the waitress at a local diner who has captured Bill’s attention, was introduced in a three-episode story arc, which resulted in Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) encouraging Bill to bring Ana into the family as Bill’s new wife. Margene befriended Ana after seeing Bill flirting with her, and monitored Bill and Ana’s brief fling through this friendship. On the other hand, Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn) reasserted herself as first wife by outing the family as polygamist to her nosey neighbors and informing Bill that she will finally leave him once and for all if he tries to bring into the family a fourth wife.
Early in the season, Barb will confront Ana, lecturing her on the risks and consequences of dating a married man. She will also insist that if Ana is serious about Bill, then she must be prepared to date the entire family.Initially, Ana is quite hesitant but will eventually court the Henricksons throughout season 3. And as expected, there will be some discussions about marriage. Unfortunately, this doesn’t sit very well with Bill’s daughter Sarah (Amanda Seyfried), who will accuse her father of putting the financial needs of a fourth wife above her desire for a college education.
Wow,that’s a lot of love,possibly too much.

I am so happy to see that Gary Dourdan will be returning to CSI. I love his character. I had planned on not watching it anymore after the season finally. I am so glad that things have been changed.
i pray hard that there won’t be a fourth wife, the past season showed us once and for all that having three wives and still growing children requires all and more of Bill’s time. As it is, he has neglected his children. To add another wife just reinforces the view that polygamy is just a lifestyle to suit a man’s lust and wandering eye. It will show how such a lifestyle is detrimental to the purpose of the family, which is to bring up well-rounded children and fulfill all the needs of the spouses for love and support. Just when the show is convincing people to believe that such a lifestyle and belief can be legitimate enough to be legalized, the addition of another wife will no doubt destroy what the show has already built in terms of the credibility of the polygamists’ beliefs.
maybe it is true that polygamy is a lifestyle to suit a mans wandering eye and lust but cmon if he can get away with it how cool is that?if i had the funds to support 3-4 families and my number 1 was ok with that and embraced it,please believe i would have as many as i could afford….and i had the idea that not only would there be a fouth wife but a fith to follow…..there is still 2 empty seats at the dinner table during the intro so everybody stop hating on bill he loves chasing tail like the rest of us
I might be one of the few who wants Ana as a forth wife. I just love her character so much. She would also suit Margene.
But then again, I hated the way Margene acted out in the last season.
ana is a good character and she does compliment margene.but does three feel like the limit 4 bill?its good to flirt with the idea but the storylines is stretched as is.
I love Margene. She is the raddest wife. Ana should be a fourth wife! And personally I think polygamy sounds fun!
